Purpose

Show daily detailed analysis of the batch jobs sorted by CPU time from critical days during the previous/current month. (Defined as the last day of the previous month and the first 3 days of this month in this example). Summary inforamtion is provided for Elapsed Time, CPU Time, I/O activity.

•Easy to spot individual batch jobs that consume a lot of CPU during critical processing days
•Easy to spot daily problem areas for specific jobs
•Easy comparison the CPU time between jobs to ensure resource consumption and service levels meet expectations during the different days of the critical date interval

 

Users/Roles

•System Manager - Inspect service levels and performance of jobs with critical CPU time during critical days of the month
•System Programmer - Adjust priorities according to need, consider moving scheduled jobs to adjust the CPU time consumption during critical days.
